Stasia and I first met sometime back in college when we had an English class together at Franciscan University. But it has really only been over the past few years that we have reconnected and become friends, primarily through being part of the same women’s group. Stasia is beautiful, kind, and incredibly talented. She’s a writer for the Apostolate for Family Consecration (AFC), more commonly known as Catholic Familyland, and she also has her own blog. In addition to this, she sews some of her own clothes, including this skirt she’s wearing for our photo session. I am so glad we have gotten to know each other better over the years and I love how much my kids love to play with her. I hope you enjoy a few of my favorites from our time together!
Matenaer Sisters // A Portrait Session
I first met the Matenaer family back in March, when my parents invited them over (along with me/my husband/our kids) for brunch after church. And I was so excited when Mary Beth contacted me about doing some photos for them. They have four adorable little girls: Monica, Brigid, Eleanor, and Katharine.
Two weeks ago, I had the opportunity to take pictures of these sisters because three of them had had birthdays recently so we did a session to update the girls’ picture frames and turned it into a mini sister session also! They made me laugh a lot with their funny comments and some silly faces and we had the BEST time!
Harrison & Bernadette // An Engagement Session
Last month my husband and I went on our annual family beach vacation with both of our families. It's always a great time full of sunshine, waves, and family adventures. This year my sister-in-law, also named Bernadette, was there with her fiance, Harrison. They were gracious enough to let me take pictures of them on the beach. We were hoping for a sunset, but unfortunately the clouds hid most of it! But we still had fun taking pictures together.
